1. Corruption in WASH is a major issue that we shouldn't ignore
2. There is a positive agenda to promote: strengthening transparency and accountability
3. In the context of SWAPs, measures to promote integrity are especially urgent and important.
The IRC 2010 Symposium, 'Pumps, Pipes and Promises: Costs, Finances and Accountability for Sustainable WASH Services' will take place in The Hague, The Netherlands from 16 - 18 November. The symposium will bring together some 120 of the sectors' foremost international experts and practitioners to address issues around costing, financing and accountability of WASH service delivery.
